Through an impossible and pernicious relationship with Manet’s portrait of Berthe Morisot, we aim to challenge the ideological and cultural construction of what is supposed to be an ideal relationship. Doubt and denial in our performance are used as tools to dynamite the conventions surrounding the stereotype of romantic love still present in many societies.
