On most occasions, my works are interconnected with each other, showing an inclination towards recurrent tools and themes. This is the case of Nation, which has a clear precedent in the performance that I presented in 2014 at the Octubre Centre de Cultura Contemporània in the city of Valencia. The political and cultural ingredients that underlie the Nation concept continued to worry me five years later and I decided to recover it for the ACCION MAD festival in Madrid with a renewed structure. The audience began to play a fundamental role that helped me build a critical reflection on any type of essentialism. Allusions to notions such as limits, supremacism or loss emerge in this second version of the performance.
