700 km off the Galician coast, beneath 4,000 metres of water, more than 200,000 barrels have been leaking for decades, releasing what eight European countries decided the ocean could simply swallow. The Trench is a performance that turns these facts into an unsettling presence. A piece about what we choose to forget and refuse to see, and about how dangerous it can become to pretend that nothing is happening.
