“For Men Only: Shall We Dance?” was conceived ad hoc for the rural context of Cañada del Hoyo. The piece invites exclusively male-identifying individuals to take part in a seemingly simple action: dancing together in a public space. Throughout the performance, the artist wears a pig mask that challenges his identity and evokes interpretations associated with the grotesque, mockery, or the stigmatization of the male body. A repetitive audio track — reminiscent of traditional fairground rhythms — creates a suffocating and tense atmosphere. In this work, dancing between men becomes a political act: it unsettles, provokes, and exposes the boundaries many societies impose on the male body and its expressions of affection.
